Snoring is a very common problem. Not only does it affect the sleep of the person snoring, it also affects the bed partner. We make jokes about snoring and sleeping in separate rooms. We see internet ads and infomercials about "Stop Snoring Now!", but did you know that snoring could be a sign of something more? Under diagnosed and frequently dismissed simply as harmless, yet annoying snoring, "Obstructive Sleep Apnea" (OSA) is a very dangerous condition.
A sleep study is used to aid in the diagnosis of OSA and can even be done in your own home!
While CPAP is still considered the "gold standard" in sleep medicine we are able to discuss and offer oral appliances which may help with your OSA.
